Sunny Reveals Reason Behind No-Phones Policy at Vicky and Katrina Wedding

In a recent interview, actor Sunny Kaushal shared insights into the decision behind the no-phones policy at his brother Vicky Kaushal's wedding to actress Katrina Kaif.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Rajasthan in December 2021. Contrary to popular belief, the policy was not implemented for privacy reasons.

Speaking to Zoom, Sunny explained that the decision was made to enhance the experience for all guests. "We realized that people were enjoying the moment so much that no one needed phones," he said. This approach allowed attendees to bond and fully immerse themselves in the festivities. "My friends, my relatives, and Katrina’s relatives, everybody bonded so well, we partied and enjoyed so much that we did not realize where those three days went. There was no pressure to hide or show anything," he added, emphasizing the relaxed and joyous atmosphere.

Vicky Kaushal also addressed the unusual media coverage surrounding the wedding in a 2022 episode of Koffee with Karan. He recounted amusing reports, including claims of drones being used for security and rumors of him arriving at the venue by helicopter. The actor even joked with the pandit to keep the ceremony brief, humorously asking for it to be wrapped up within an hour.
