Gaza Faces Catastrophic Hunger Amid Ongoing Conflict
Recent Israeli attacks have killed at least ten people, including guards protecting aid trucks, as they sought supplies in Khan Younis.
The head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) described the situation as dire, stating, "Gaza has been decimated," with children dying from malnutrition and dehydration while food and water remain stuck in trucks.
Despite discussions of a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared that the war will continue even if an agreement is reached with Hamas. The Palestinian group interprets Netanyahu's comments as a rejection of the ceasefire proposal presented by President Biden.
The conflict, ongoing since October 7, has resulted in the deaths of at least 37,626 people and left 86,098 wounded in Gaza. The revised death toll in Israel from Hamas-led attacks stands at 1,139, with many still held captive in Gaza.
