Government to Launch AI-Integrated Teacher Training Program
Dr. Shafeeu underscored the necessity of integrating technological advancements in education to align with global standards while adhering to the principles and high values of the Islamic faith.
"This new academic year, we will prioritize training educators to enhance AI-assisted teaching and learning practices, inclusive learning, and the use of assistive technology in teaching, fostering awareness among teachers of these technological advancements," he stated.
The minister highlighted the critical need for high-quality teacher training to ensure exceptional learning experiences for students. He also pointed out the current shortage of highly qualified teachers as a significant challenge within the education sector.
Dr. Shafeeu reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to fulfilling President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's pledge for educational development. "Quality education and development for students can only be ensured by training qualified teachers," he emphasized.
The Education Ministry also revealed plans to launch a nationwide program this year aimed at elevating the capabilities of local teachers to deliver high-standard education to students.
