Over 900 students receive aid under First Degree Scheme

According to MoHE, a total of 1,182 applications were submitted to the ministry between January 1 and May 9, 2024.

Of these applications, 949 were accepted and processed, while 207 were returned to applicants for completion due to missing details. The First Degree Scheme, initiated by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, continues to provide substantial support to students.

Currently, over 10,000 students are benefiting from the scheme, with many expressing that the assistance has significantly aided their academic pursuits.
