China's 'Unprecedented' Space Mission Launches to Far Side of Moon for Sample Collection

An unmanned rocket carrying the Chang’e-6 lunar probe lifted off from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Hainan province, initiating a planned 53-day mission just before 5:30 p.m. local time.

The objective of the expedition is to bring back approximately 5 pounds of lunar samples to Earth for analysis, potentially offering valuable insights into the moon's origins.
