Kangana Ranaut Denies Eating Beef Allegations

Indian actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) election candidate, Kangana Ranaut, vehemently refutes accusations of consuming beef.

Kangana Ranaut, known for her vocal support of the BJP, dismisses the claims as "shameful" and "baseless rumors" propagated by her opponents.

In India, where cows are revered by Hindus, allegations of beef consumption carry significant sensitivity. Kangana's denial comes in response to opposition politicians and social media users circulating old posts purporting to show her admitting to eating beef.

This allegation holds potential damage as Kangana prepares to enter formal politics as a BJP candidate in Himachal Pradesh state. Asserting her adherence to a yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle, Kangana emphasizes her proud Hindu identity and dismisses attempts to tarnish her image.

Despite widespread restrictions on cattle slaughter, India remains a leading beef producer, primarily from water buffalo, sparking tensions and occasional violence, particularly against the Muslim minority, from cow protection vigilante groups. Kangana signs off her statement with the Hindu proclamation "Jai Shri Ram."
