11-Year-Old British Man Becomes World's Oldest Living Man

John Alfred Tinniswood, from England, has secured the title of the world's oldest living man at the age of 111 years and 224 days.

Guinness World Records declared this milestone on Friday, just days after the passing of the former record holder, Juan Vicente Pérez, who died at 114 years old, a month away from his 115th birthday.

In an interview with Guinness, Tinniswood, who attributes his longevity to luck, emphasized moderation in life. Despite enjoying fish and chips every Friday, he rarely drinks and does not smoke.

Born in Liverpool on August 26, 1912, Tinniswood has witnessed significant historical events, including two world wars and various pandemics, having been born in the same year as the sinking of the Titanic. He also holds the record for the oldest surviving male World War II veteran.

A devoted Liverpool football club fan, Tinniswood has celebrated all nineteen league title wins and eight FA cup wins of his beloved team.

Currently residing in a care home in Southport, England, Tinniswood is cherished by his caretakers, who describe him as an extraordinary individual with countless stories to share.

Meanwhile, the world's oldest living woman is 117-year-old Maria Branyas Morera, residing in Spain.
